ROBSTOWN — Global Spectrum, operators of the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, named Amie Daniel Lee as the first-ever Marketing Coordinator for the seven year-old facility on Monday.

Lee has an extensive and well-rounded background of over 14 years in marketing and public relations within the tourism, convention and retail industries. Prior to joining Global Spectrum, Lee was the Marketing Director of La Palmera in Corpus Christi, Texas for Trademark Properties, Inc. and the Marketing Manager for SMG at the American Bank Center. She also spent several years in the non-profit sector as the Executive Director of the Portland Chamber of Commerce in Portland, Texas and was the Communications Director at the Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau. Lee graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BS in Communications and a BS in Business in 2003.

“We are very excited to bring Amie onto our team,” said Global Spectrum’s Jason Green, General Manager of the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds. “She has an extensive background in Marketing and a reputable relationship with regional media and community organizations that will be a great asset to our operation as we see steady growth in events at our facility.”

The Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds has boasted an upward trend and set records since 2012 in events, attendance and gross revenue. According to Green, the numbers for 2013 will bring even better news for the venue than the last. Lee will assist in the success by focusing on much needed general awareness and branding of the facility, as well as supporting the sales staff in seeking new business and events. She will also concentrate on providing marketing services to clients and event producers to create added value and revenue for the facility.
