The Diocese of Corpus Christi and True Modesty presents their 2nd Annual Fashion Show on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

“The True Modesty program’s mission is to prove to young women that in today’s society fashion can be both beautiful and modest, while focusing on the true meaning of femininity and growing in faith, virtues and style,” explains Deacon Stephen Nolte with the Diocese of Corpus Christi. This one-night event will kick-off with a “Shirley Temple” social hour and the fashion show will follow with Master of Ceremonies, Jennifer Lira, Anchor for KRIS 6 News.

Guest Speaker Mario St. Francis Herrera, International Catholic actor, model, and Director of World Youth Day Media will inspire guests. His apostolic work has taken him to speak to every continent on earth and assists in taking about 2,000 youth from North America to each World Youth Day for an authentic pilgrimage experience once a every three years.

The young women participating in the fashion show were attended a retreat and a series of sessions to assist in their spiritual formation, and fittings in preparation for the event. After the completion of the entire program, they will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to participate in the Modesty Formation Program on a leadership level in the future.

Live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, red carpet photo opportunities and ministry booths will also be featured at the event. Proceeds raised from the fashion show will offset the cost of the evening and the future success of the True Modesty Program.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 each for ages 18 & up and children 17 & under are $5 each. Admission at the door is $15 each for ages 18 & up and $5 each for children 17 & under.
