Corpus Christi Police Chief Floyd Simpson has scheduled a Town Hall Meeting for Thursday, August 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 1201 Leopard Street. The public is invited to this open meeting to discuss the upcoming changes regarding police efficiency and revised police response to alarm calls without permits, minor crashes, barking dogs (animal calls) and child discipline issues. During the meeting there will be an opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions.

Chief Simpson will also discuss the proposed “distracted driving” ordinance and the ongoing Aggressive Driving initiative.

A second town hall meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Del Mar Center for Economic Development at 3209 S. Staples in Room 106.
