Blessed John Paul II High School kicked off its first game of the 2013 season Friday, Aug. 30. The JPII Centurions took on Taft High School.

Bishop Mulvey, Diocese of Corpus Christi, delivered the invocation prayer at 7:15 p.m.

City of Corpus Christi Mayor Pro Tem, Mark Scott threw the first football of the season.

Mario Vasquez heads up the football coaching staff this season. This is Coach Vasquez’s first year as head coach of John Paul II High School Football under Athletic Director Mario DeLeon.

John Paul II High School is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi.
