The Tuloso-Midway ISD Education Foundation has received a $5,000 grant from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation for innovative classroom instructional programs.
“We are very pleased that the Coastal Bend Community Foundation continues to support our efforts to enhance education,” said Michael Chapa, TMISD Education Foundation president. “These funds will help provide additional resources for our teachers and creative classroom projects for our students.”
Since its creation in 2004, the TMISD Education Foundation has awarded more than $358,000 in grants to TM teachers enabling more challenging and innovative instruction for students.
“The education of our young people is enhanced through the support of the Coastal Bend Community Foundation and other businesses, industries and individuals in our community,” said Sharon Trott, TMISD foundation executive director.
The Coastal Bend Community Foundation was incorporated in 1981 with the mission of enhancing and improving the quality of life in the seven counties of the Coastal Bend. The foundation serves donors by providing a vehicle for the establishment of various types of charitable funds designed to fulfill their wishes. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $72 million from donor contributions and revenues to scholarships to students and grants to nonprofit organizations.
