Gang Unit Officers spotted a stolen vehicle and attempted to pull over the white Toyota Camry on Tuesday.
The driver, Ricardo Eugene Bolden (06/07/69), refused to stop and fled. Bolden kept throwing items out of the vehicle as he drove off; failing to stop at a couple of stop signs. The pursuit was terminated.
Police were called 20 to 30 minutes later for a disturbance with a weapon involving the owner of the vehicle and the suspect. Bolden refused to turn the car over to the victim and pulled a knife out in order to escape.
The owner of the Camry told Officers that Bolden ran the red light at Horne and Hwy 286 Access when it was struck by a gray BMW 528I. The driver, 35 and three passengers, 19, 12, and 1 were uninjured in the wreck. Bolden pulled out a wheelchair and fled.
Bolden was quickly captured and arrested. He was booked at the City Detention Center after being medically cleared. Bolden was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle.
