The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District has announced the next Flu Drive Through Clinic for ages 6 months of age and older is planned for Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds parking lot, 1213 Terry Shamsie Blvd. in Robstown.

Based on a first come, first serve basis, the first 50 doses of the flu vaccine will be given free of charge. The Drive Through Clinic will also serve as an exercise that will measure how efficiently the Health District could respond to an actual emergency situation. Once the first 50 doses are given there will be a cost of $30 per vaccine (cash or check). Medicaid, Medicare and Humana Insurance will be accepted.

The Health District is recommending that anyone receiving a flu shot at the Drive Through Clinic Flu Clinic wear short sleeve attire. Anyone allergic to eggs cannot receive the flu shot.

All Health District offices will be closed during this event.
