The annual Taste of the Northwest Business Expo, hosted by the Northwest Business Association (NWBA), was held on Tuesday evening, Oct. 15 at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds (RMB Fairgrounds) in Robstown.
Several area restaurants and catering companies from the Northwest area of Corpus Christi offered a plethora of tasty food samples to attendees of the event, including the RMB Fairgrounds, Good-N-Crisp Chicken, Nolanís Original Poorboys & Catering, Whipped Up Bakery & Frozen Yogurt Shop, The Chicken Shack, K-Bobís Steakhouse, G&H Bar-B-Q, Mr. Gís BBQ, Samís BBQ, and Grannyís Tamales.
Guests also wandered the open room, where various businesses from the area set up booths to discuss their services. Door prizes were announced throughout the evening, and group dances were performed by youth groups in the area.
Along with guests getting a taste of what the Northwest area of Corpus Christi has to offer, the annual event, in conjunction with its sponsors, raises funds for the NWBA Scholarship Fund. The fund offers scholarships to area students from Calallen, Robstown and Tuloso-Midway.
ďThis is a great networking event where people can come out and really get to see what the Northwest has to offer,Ē said Past President Josh Wilson.
