Victoria F. Pineda, 66, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 19, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 24, 1947 in Yoakum, Texas to Armando Flores and Consuelo Portales Flores. Victoria was a teacher who dedicated her life to educating and advocating for all children and worked at Carroll Lane Elementary School. She was a very loving and caring mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend who always provided strength and support to all her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Victoria goes home to reunite with her daughter, Vicki Jo Pineda and her father, Armando Flores whom preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two children, Christian “Butch” Pineda of Corpus Christi, Texas and Patricia Renee Pineda of Austin, Texas, one brother, Armando (Rachel) Flores, Jr. of Robstown, Texas, Josephine (Juan) Flores Vargas of San Antonio, Texas, her mother, Consuelo Flores of Robstown, Texas, one granddaughter, Marcela L. Pineda of Austin, Texas, one niece, Amanda Vargas of Houston, Texas, four nephews, Armando Flores III of San Antonio, Texas, Alfred Flores, of Edinburg, Texas, Andrew Flores of Calallen, Texas, and Adam Flores of Robstown, Texas.

The family of Victoria would like to extend a special thanks to Cynthia Esparza, Tina Perez, Julie Prater, Cheryl Rhoden, and Mindy Trevino for their special care, support and unconditional love given to Victoria throughout her life and during her time of need.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
