Corpus Christi Police arrested a 23-year-old man Saturday after an investigation for a man who brandished a gun.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for a man who displayed a firearm in the area of Holly and Weber Road at 5:37 p.m. A 22-year-old man flagged down an Officer and described a man who looked into cars and pulled on door handles. The 22-year-old man said the suspect saw the 22-year-old man watching and the suspect lifted his shirt to display a handgun. Officers located the suspect, 23-year-old Justin Gunnels (11/7/1990) who ran from Officers.

Officers apprehended Gunnels and arrested him for Public Intoxication, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Evading Arrest.

Officers requested use of the K9 Unit, and Indy located the pellet gun (which had the appearance of a real firearm) along the path Gunnels ran. Gunnels was then delivered to the city detention center.
