Eloisa Duque Perez entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family at the age of 89, on Monday, November 11, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on January 6, 1924 in Goliad to Sabas and Antonia Cortez Duque, and had resided in Robstown, Texas most of her life. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown. Eloisa will be remembered as a loving, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all those whose lives she dearly touched.
She goes home to reunite with her husband, Seferino Perez, Sr., daughters, Anita Espinoza, Eloisa Perez, Mary Alice Perez; son, Benito Perez; brothers, Luis, Candelario and Santiago Duque.
Her loving memories and legacy are left to be cherished by her children, Antonia “Toni” (Benito) Jackson, Aurora “Lola” (Raymond) Mata, Amelia P. Cardosa, Lupe “Nena” (Charlie) Castillo, Norma Vasquez, Seferino (Elizabeth) Perez Jr., Ignacio Perez, Enrique (Norma) Perez, Jose Luis (Sandy) Perez, Carlos Rogelio Perez; brothers, David, Teodoso, Pedro, and Jose Duque; Sister, Anita Duque. She was blessed with 37 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
