Corpus Christi Police arrested a 39-year-old man for stealing a gold 1993 Chevrolet Suburban on the 900 block of Nandina Drive Sunday morning.
A 22-year-old man made a complaint to the Corpus Christi Police at 1:07am that an unknown person stole his vehicle from the driveway of his residence. The 22-year-old man explained to the Officers that he heard the engine start to the Suburban parked in the driveway, and the 22-year-old man said he saw the vehicle back out of the drive, and leave.
Another Corpus Christi Police Officer found the vehicle parked at a hotel on Leopard Street and arrested 39-year-old Donald Garcia for the Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. The Officer discovered evidence of other crimes in the vehicle with Garcia and continued to investigate. The Officers discovered there were three vehicles on the 900 block of Nandina which were the target of burglary and the radios were taken from each vehicle.
Garcia was additionally charged for the burglaries to the vehicles.
