Corpus Christi Police arrested 3 people Sunday for stealing over $1,500 dollars worth of merchandise from a retail store at 6101 Saratoga Boulevard Sunday night.

Corpus Christi Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at 9:15pm. Officers were provided a description of the vehicle the suspects used to leave the parking lot. A Corpus Christi Police Officer saw the suspect vehicle on Saratoga and conducted a traffic stop to investigate the suspects. A store employee told Officers the three suspects loaded carts full of merchandise and left the store without paying.

The Officer discovered evidence of the crime and arrested 38-year-old David Delacruz (5/6/1975), 22-year-old Danny Cruz (10/23/1991) and 44-year-old Shirley Ybarra (10/10/1969) for theft.

The merchandise was returned to the store, the vehicle was impounded, and the three suspects were delivered to the city detention center.
