Raul Luna Valdez, 84, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 08, 2014. He was born in Robstown, Texas to Ambrosio and Isabel Luna Valdez. He was a Catholic, a long life resident of Robstown. He retired from the National Park Service, Department of the Interior as a road and trails supervisor after 25 years of service. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Ambrosio Valdez, Jose Luis Valdez, and Arturo Valdez.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife who he shared 61 years of marriage with, Guadalupe Valdez; his children, Joe (Angie) Valdez, Richard (Rosalinda) Valdez, Terry (Raul) Barrera, Lucy Huerta, Isabel Milewski, Robert Valdez, Ruben (Maricela) Valdez and Millie (Ronnie) Vasquez; two brothers, Jesse (Linda) Valdez, Santos Valdez; three sisters, Carmen Robles, Elena (Mike) Guerrero, and Alicia Villarreal. He was also blessed with 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Johnís Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
