WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, Feb. 11, U.S. Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27) and the House voted 326 – 90 to eliminate cuts to military retirees and keep America’s promises to veterans.

The legislation restores cost of living adjustment (COLA) increases to all veterans and service men and women who joined the military before Jan. 1, 2014.

“Today, the House acted to ensure we keep our promises to those who have served this nation. Taking from our veterans – in any capacity – is wrong," said Farenthold. "Today’s legislation ensures retirees get what was promised.”

Congressman Farenthold currently serves as a cosponsor of four pieces of legislation to eliminate cuts to all current and future military retirees.
