After an investigation into whether or not former city attorney Roxann Cotroneo made inappropriate remarks during initial staff meetings lead to to her withdrawal of the acceptance of the city attorney job, the City of Corpus Christi has now made a deal that includes paying Cotroneo $20,000. 

In return, Cotroneo agreed to not file any complaint, petition, or lawsuit against the City of Corpus Christi, and would not discuss the release with media. 

As part of the mutual release agreement, the City also agreed to not make  any further negative remarks about Cotroneo.
