The time that all softball teams have been working toward all season has finally arrived: the playoffs.

The postseason will kick off Friday in bi-district action for four area teams.

In the Class 4A ranks, both Calallen and Tuloso-Midway punched playoff tickets from District 30-4A.

The Lady Cats grabbed the No. 2 seed after finishing behind only Gregory-Portland in the standings. The Cherokees had an up and down season, but managed the fourth and final postseason berth with a 6-6 league record.

Calallen will face third-place Uvalde in the first round, while T-M gets 29-4A champion Media Valley. The Panthers enter the series 25-2 on the season.

Robstown will also face a district champion, Devine. The Arabians topped District 29-3A and the Lady Pickers got the No. 4 playoff spot.

In 2A, Banquete enters as the third seed behind Odem and Mathis from 31-2A. The Bulldogs will take on Falfurrias.
