A bank on the south side was targeted by a robber on the afternoon of Monday, May 5.

The incident began when a man wearing a white mask and black hoodie entered the IBC Bank branch, located on South Staples, and demanded money. Exployees stated that the man said he had a weapon, but never revealed one. A teller then gave the suspect cash, at which time the suspect left the premises and drove into the nearby Country Club Estates neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a 5'8-tall male in his 20's, with medium brown skin, weighing approximately 180 pounds.

Soon after the incident, Corpus Christi Police found clothing on a nearby street and detained a man for questioning. No information has been released on if the man detained on Monday afternoon faces charges for the bank robbery.
