Eliseo “Eli” Zuniga, 49, was welcomed home with open arms to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1964 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Antonio and Yolanda Alaniz Zuniga, Sr. Eli was a veteran in the United States Army, a Marshal with the Corpus Christi City Marshal’s Office and was a former police officer with the City of Robstown for over 27 years. He was a hard working and loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Eli leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, his loving wife of 29 years, Elizabeth Candela Zuniga; his children, Christina (Nicolas) Jenkins, Christopher Zuniga, Kayla Zuniga; his parents, Antonio and Yolanda Zuniga, Sr.; his brothers, Antonio Zuniga, Jr., David Zuniga, and Daniel Zuniga. He was also blessed and adored by his four grandchildren, Aiden Jenkins, Kayson Jenkins, Mila Mangrum and Bella Mangrum, as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas with full military honors.
