Antonio Luis Aguilar, 64, was called home by our heavenly Father after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Antonio was born on February 6, 1950 in Robstown, Texas to Ninfo Ramon Aguilar and Maria Elida De Los Santos Aguilar. He worked for CPL at Leon C. Hill Power Plant for many years and recently was with ACME as the owner and operator of A.L.A. Transport Co. Antonio enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, hunting, and traveling throughout the country in his truck. He loved his family very much and adored his grandchildren.

He goes home to reunite with his father, Ninfo Ramon Aguilar, his grandparents, Antonio and Lucia Aguilar; Ramon and Luisa de los Santos; father-in-law, Encarnacion C. Gonzalez.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 43 years of marriage, Minerva Gonzalez Aguilar; his children, Melissa Cristina Aguilar of Alice, Texas; Cynthia Yvette Aguilar, Rolando Noe Aguilar and Antonio Garcia all of Robstown, Texas. His mother, Maria Elida De Los Santos Aguilar of Robstown, Texas; his siblings, Nazario (Dalia) Aguilar, Norma (Joe) Tovar, Noel (Aminta) Aguilar, Maria Elida “Mary” (Benito, Sr.) Gonzalez and Nolberto Jose Aguilar all of Robstown, Texas, Nora (Erwin) Jaloway of Pleasanton, Texas, and Nelda Aguilar of El Paso, Texas; his mother-in-law, Ernestina Gonzalez of Banquete, Texas and a special uncle, Lucio R. Aguilar of Phoenix, Arizona. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Matthew Aguilar, Victoria Alejandro, Clariza Salinas, Miranda Alejandro, Raymond Andrew Alejandro, Michael Garcia and Aaron Garcia; three great-grandchildren, Mallory Christine Garcia, Cayleigh Yvette Gaona and Baby Alejandro-Flores, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Esther Pollard and the ICU staff at Spohn Memorial Hospital for the care given to Antonio during his journey with cancer.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be recited at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Robstown Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

Pallbearers will be James Eric Aguilar, Benito Gonzalez, Jr., Eric Garcia, Richard Dean Dennett, David Brian Dennett and John Jason Molina. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
