Beginning on Memorial Day, the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Association (CCRTA) began to run its Bay Cruising Harbor Ferry, signaling the start of the summer season and the annual waterborne transportation service that has been offered in the harbor during the season since 1990.

From now until Labor Day, the Independence will run daily from noon to 6:30 p.m. between the two locations of Peoples St. T-Head and the Texas State Aquarium Dock.

Round trip fare for the harbor ferry is $3; for seniors, individuals with disabilities, medicare card holders and students, the fare is reduced to $1.50 for round trip.
