On Sunday, May 25, Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a call for a burglary in progress to a home after a 65 year old man reported that he was watching a male and a female remove items from his bothers home in the 1200 block of Lantana St.
The witness said he was parked down the street from his brotherís house and was watching a white SUV with a trailer attached to it, and a male and female loading equipment into both. Before police could arrive, the vehicle pulling the trailer began to leave and the witness followed. He was able to stay a safe distance from the suspects and provide updates to responding officers.
Officers stopped the couple in the 1000 block of Manchester Avenue and found 39-year-old Roger Crossland and 39-year-old Kimberly Chism in possession of the stolen property.
The witness brother also arrived to retrieve his stolen property and both suspects were arrested, for burglary of a habitation, and the SUV and trailer were impounded.
