Mary Angel Suarez, 82, entered eternal life peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2014, with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 2, 1931 in San Diego, Texas to Jesus and Herminia Pena Ruiz and resided in Robstown, Texas most of her life. Mary retired after 33 years of service with the Robstown Independent School District and will be remembered by her friendly smile and kind heart for others. She enjoyed dancing and listening to Mariachi music. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.
She goes home to reunite with her parents, one brother, Jessie Ruiz and a sister, Sylvia Garcia.
The family she leaves behind to continue her legacy is, Millie (George) Garcia of Missouri City, Texas; Richard (Alma) Suarez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Diana Esquivel of San Antonio, Texas and Jerry (Sandra) Suarez of Robstown, Texas. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, George W. Garcia, II., Joe Michael Garcia, David Garcia, Ryan Suarez, Audrey Resendiz, Jason Suarez, Marc Suarez, Adam Suarez, Naaman Esquivel, Vanessa E. Guerra; eight Great-grandchildren, Alec Guinn, Michael Garcia, Esai Garcia, Caleb Guerra, Carmela Guerra, Lilia Resendiz, Arabella Resendiz, Ryan M. Suarez, Jr., and loved by her numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Holy Rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated that same day at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas
