Corpus Christi Police The Corpus Christi Police arrested 37-year-old Carlos Villanueva for aggravated assault and animal cruelty.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 27. Corpus Christi Police responded to a disturbance at a home located at the 4700 block of Johnston Drive at 2:41 p.m. Officers were provided information that the 38-year-old man killed a dog and threatened family members with a knife. Corpus Christi Police Officers got two people out of the house and then discovered Villanueva had left the house prior to law enforcement arrival.
No one was injured in the incident, but a dead dog was collected and the Officers began the search for Villanueva.
Witnesses to the event told Officers that the 38-year-old man may have been under the influence of hallucinogenic narcotics and was armed with a knife.
Officers continued to search for Villenueva until they located him on the 1300 block of Elgin St., charging him and arresting him for aggravated assault and animal cruelty. Officers then delivered him to the city detention center.
