The Corpus Christi Police Department announced the final results of the Click It or Ticket campaign that ended on June 1.

Officers worked morning and afternoon shifts that started on May 19 on an overtime basis enforcing the state seat belt laws.

The funding for the enforcement was from a grant awarded to the department by the Texas Department of Transportation.

During the campaign, officers worked 352 overtime hours issuing 422 seal belt citations, 47 child restraint citations, 203 miscellaneous citations for traffic offenses and one arrest for an outstanding warrant was made.

CCPD reminds motorists to make sure that "everyone in your vehicle is secured by a safety belt no matter how far your trip may be."
