CCPD Traffic Units Aim To Slow Down IH 37 Drivers
The Corpus Christi Police Department wants to make sure that drivers remember to monitor their speed and drive safely. That's why on Monday, June 2, the CCPD traffic division performed a speeding enforcement blitz on Interstate Highway 37 for about three hours.
Officers in police units, and police motorcycles participated in the assignment and during the three hours of the blitz, 78 total citations were issued, with 55 speeding citations issued and 23 miscellaneous traffic citations issued.
During the blitz, one arrest for an outstanding municipal court warrant was made.
