Corpus Christi Police responded to a call for an unattended death at a mobile home park located at 901 Utica Street at 11:12am Friday morning.

A caretaker arrived at the home and discovered a 57-year-old man had injuries and was deceased. Corpus Christi Police initiated a death investigation but have taken into consideration the circumstances such as the health history of the 57-year-old man and have not determined if the injuries were the cause of a criminal act or if they were accidental injuries. The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office collected the 57-year-old man and will perform an evaluation to determine the cause of the injuries and the cause of death. Corpus Christi Police Detectives continue to gather information to reach a conclusion whether or not this death was the result of a criminal act.
