Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
On Monday, June 2 at 2:25 a.m., Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of Golla Drive for an assault. A 44 year old male told officers that he got into a fight with his 30-year-old step son, Otto Wallace. The victim told officers that the step son began to push him until they were both outside at which point the step son hit the victim in the back of the head with a beer bottle. The male victim had several lacerations but refused medical treatment. Due to the injuries sustained by the victim, and the use of a deadly weapon, a glass bottle, the step son was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second degree felony.
Discharging Firearm in Municipality
On Wednesday, June 28 at 9:28 p.m., Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 800 block of Lantana Street. The call indicated that a suspect vehicle was leaving toward the area of 5700 Skyline Street. While checking the area officers located several shell casings in the roadway, but no damage to any homes in the area was found. A 42-year-old male witness told officers that he was sitting inside his residence when he heard several gunshots. He saw a medium built male, 5`5` to 5`6? with a dark shirt on and dark shorts standing in the street and firing a handgun. The suspect then got into an older dark colored passenger car and then left toward Skyline Street.
