Ydolina Benavidez Perez, 77, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born on April 26, 1937 in Robstown, Texas to Adan Benavidez, Sr. and Otilia De La Garza. She was Catholic, a homemaker and lived most of her life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but was raised Robstown, Texas. She was also a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Las Guadalupanas, Catholic Daughters of America and the Teresitas organizations. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

She goes home to reunite with her husband, Mamerto Perez, Jr., her son, Mamerto Perez, III; her parents, and two brothers, Adan Benavidez, Jr. and Ruben Benavidez who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Adam Perez, Oscar (Maureen) Perez, Michael Perez, Edward (Jan) Perez, and Angela Rocha; her brothers and sisters, Humberto “Chumbe” (Yolanda) Benavidez, Baldemar (Carmen) Benavidez, Albert (Chris) Benavidez, Carlos (Alma) Benavidez, Ray (Lupe) Benavidez, Gertrudes (Dan) Barron, Beatrice (Johnny) Garcia, Melinda (Rick) Santos; her sisters-in-law, Irma (the late Adan, Jr.) Benavidez, and Rosa (the late Ruben) Benavidez. She was also loved and adored by her seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
