A pair of Robstown softball underclassmen took home some of the top honors in the All-District 30-3A selections.

Sophomore pitcher Victoria Carrion was selected as Tri-Offensive Player of the Year and freshman Claudia Chapa was voted Co-Newcomer of the Year.

Carrion shared the award with Cher Garcia (Orange Grove) and Lexis Martinez (Sinton) and Brittanie Garza (Sinton) was the other Newcomer of the Year.

The Lady Pickers also had five all-district first team selections. Two of the first-teamers were unanimous selections.

Junior second baseman Anessa River and senior outfielder Cassandra Sanchez were both unanimous first-team members.

Junior pitcher Lauren Sepulveda, freshman shortstop Jasmine Fernandez and sophomore flex player Kelsey Galvan were also on the all-district first team.

Three Lady Pickers made the second team, all of them sophomores.

First baseman Serena Garza, outfielder Lianne Gonzalez and outfielder Genesis Robledo were second team all-district.

Ariana Medrano and Victoria Longoria were honorable mention all-district.

Carrion, Chapa, Garza, Longoria, Robledo and Sepulveda added the distinction of academic all-district to their honors.
