S.P.A.R.K. (Summer Programs And Recreation for Kids) 2014 is an open campus recreational program for youths ages 6-16 that may include arts and crafts, sports tournaments, board games, indoor and outdoor play, guest speakers, and other activities in a generally supervised environment for registered participants.

This Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department program will run Jun. 16 – Aug. 8, Monday– Friday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at six recreation facilities throughout the city: Joe Garza, Lindale, Oak Park, Oso, and Solomon Coles Recreation Centers, and Ben Garza Gym.

Registration will be offered weekly on a first come first served basis during Jun. 13 –Aug. 4.

Facilities have limited space. Online registration will be offered the week before each session on Fridays starting at 8am and will close on Sundays at midnight, as space permits. On-site registration will be held on the Fridays before each session from 2 –4 p.m., and on Mondays of each session from 11 a.m. –12 p.m., space permitting. Register at the facility your child will attend. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult to insure space is still available on any given day. Parents must provide proof of their child’s age and complete registration forms.

This open recreation program is free of charge that also includes a daily free lunch and snack.
