A 38-year old military veteran was spotted walking in his driveway at his home on Flour Bluff Drive with an AR-15 rifle on Tuesday, which prompted Corpus Christi Police to block off the road.
Police talked with the man, who stated that he was upset because he had discovered graffiti on his home in Flour Bluff. He had then grabbed his rifle. Corpus Christi Police then took custody of the man's rifle.
His rifle was later returned to him by CCPD, when they determined that he had not broken any laws.
CCPD stated that the man then decided to go and speak with medical professionals, regarding the state of his mental health.
According to witnesses, the man was never seen threatening anyone with the rifle, and no injuries were reported.
