City Secretary Rebecca Huerta scheduled a drawing to determine the order of placement of names on the ballot for the November 4, 2014 City Council Election for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.

Candidates either drew for themselves, send a representative to draw for them, or a member of the City Secretary’s staff drew for the candidate.

Early voting will be held from Monday, Oct. 20 through Friday, Oct. 31. The last day to register to vote for this election is Monday, Oct. 6.

The following is a list of candidates who filed to run in the November 2014 election:

Mayor candidates:

Nelda Martinez, president of Adlen Enterprises, 53, 22 years in the city

Dan McQueen, engineer, 54, 6 years and 10 months in the city

Bob Jones, Petroleum Sample custodian/minister, 66, 22 years and 11 month in the city

Lee McGinnis, unemployed/student, 34, 33 years and 6 months in the city

At-Large candidates:

Chad Magill, business development officer Stewatd Title, 39, 12 years and 3 months in the city

Reynaldo “Ray” Madrigal, retired, 72, 72 years in the city

Lillian Riojas, director public affairs for Valero, 42, 20 years in the city

Mark Scott, title insurance, 54, 30 years in the city

Margareta Fratila, business owner, 64, 32 years in the city

Gil Hernandez, sales manager, 45, 10 years and 11 months in the city

District 1 candidates:

Carrie Robertson Meyer, photographer, 53, 12 years and 8 months in the district

John Garcia, director of sales, 38, 1 year and 1 month in the district

Kelley Allen, general manager for File Pro, 45, 45 years in the district

Carolyn Vaughn, executive management president, 61, 38 years in the district

Frank F. Schlegel Jr., retired, 78, 30 years and 8 months in the district

Tom Watson, self-employed, 66, 56 years and 3 months in the district
