Banquete High School is ready to congratulate the new members of their 2014-2015 Business Professionals of America Officers. Officers for the schools organization are Mariah Castaneda who is the historian, Kassandra Rodriguez who acts as the secretary, Kevin Burleson the acting President, Brianna Pena as Vice-President, treasurer Ryan Lopez, and Parliamentarian Isaias Gonzalez.

Sponsors for the group include Mr. Lerma and Mrs. Martinez who are educators at the local high school. At an initial meeting in Mr. Lerma’s class the election for officers was held during lunch.

Kevin Burleson was elected the club president for the year with Brianna Pena elected to the Vice-President position. Appointed to serve as the club secretary was Kassandra Rodriguez.

Business professionals of American is one of the leading Career Technical Student Organizations for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology, and other related fields. Members of the organization work towards competing and accomplishing recognition at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

Business Professionals of America are committed to serving their chapter and community. When asked about being elected as an office Kevin Burleson stated, “I am looking forward to leading various projects and establishing the BPA club’s commitment to serving the community.”
