On OCt. 12 Corpus Christi honored musicians in the world of Tejano music at the Ben F. McDonald Public Library located on Greenwood Drive. This years Honorees included Los Kasinos, Rudy Tervino, and the late Lupito Banda.

Humanities Texas has helped library staff put together a photo gallery of musicians, composers, singers, producers, promoters, and radio personalities who had a hand in the evolution of Tejano music. Los Kasinos was represented by Dr. David Leo and Cecilio Garza jr.

Part of the program included Alberto Huerta and Ramiro Sanchez presenting an oral history of Tejano music performance which began at 12:30 p.m. Humanities Texas along with Friends of Corpus Christi Public Libraries funded the event.
