On Sept. 23 Tuloso-Midway held an all-region jazz tryout at King High School. Daniel Apostol who is a current student of Tuloso-Midway competed and received first chair honors on Drum Set.

With this accomplishment was on both a Region and Area level Daniel has earned the honor of recording his music for potential All-State jazz honors. In this process his recordings will be sent to Austin where they will be listened to by a panel of judges who will have the overall decision based on his performance.

Ray Chapa who is the current band director for Tuloso-Midway notes that this may be the first time Tuloso-Midway has had a student advance to this level in Jazz Band. With the hard work of his student Chapa notes that they are very proud of Apostle

Daniel is one of three brothers who are also in the Tuloso-Midway band. Results from Daniels audition will be announced in the month of November once they have been reviewed.
