The Medical Group of Central Corpus Christi welcomed more than 500 guests for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony that was held on Thursday Oct. 16. The grand opening event, which was made open to the general public included local food and entertainment.
In addition to facility tours and activity center demonstrations Mayor Nelda Martinez joined the festivities alongside other notable community leaders which included City Councilman Kelley Allen, District 1 and members of both the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Co-Founder and Chairman, Dr. Jose Armas was in attendance as well as other members of the medical Group Leaders.
"It is great to see so many people here from the local community," said Dr. Michael Centeno, Medical Director for the Medical Group in Corpus Christi. "We are very thankful for their support of our mission to bring quality healthcare and medical resources to the area at our new clinic and activity center."
Founded by physicians in 1998, the medical group is a family of medical centers and healthcare providers that are committed to delivering the highest quality patient care to local communities. The Medical Group of Central Corpus Christi will be open Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. and is located at 917 South Port Ave.
