The Corpus Christi-Nueces country Public Health District has announced that they will hold two Flu Shot Drive Through Clinics for ages 6 months of age and older. The Drive Through Clinic will serve as an exercise that will measure how efficiently the Health District could respond to an actual emergency situation.
As a Reminder to Corpus Christi Residents, the drive through clinic will be held this Friday in their area. With Flu season once again upon us now is the time to take an early precaution against the virus.
Cost is 30$ per vaccine, Medicare and Humana Insurance will be accepted. The Health District is recommending that anyone receiving a flu shot at the Drive Through Clinic Flu Clinic wear short sleeve attire.
In light of community concerns, please consider getting the flu vaccine for you and your family's protection from the flu virus, which in most cases can be prevented or minimized, if exposure to flu does occur. To expedite the process, the Health District urges residents who go to the Drive Through Clinic to please download and fill out their forms and bring them when they come to the Drive Through Clinic.
The Drive Through Clinic was held in Robstown on Friday Oct. 24 from 8 A.M. until noon. In Corpus Christi the clinic will be held on Oct. 31 from 8 A.M. until noon.
When attending the Drive Through Clinic residents should know that proof of insurance coverage will be required and that patients who are allergic to eggs will not be able to receive a flu shot. To download the required forms interested parties may find them at www.ccpublichealth.com and by clicking on Flu Vaccine Consent Forms.
