Orlando “Londy” Salinas Jr., 28, went to be with our creator on Friday, January 16, 2015, after a sudden illness in a Corpus Christi hospital. He was born on November 3, 1986 in Robstown, Texas to his parents, Orlando Salinas Sr. and Estela Cano. He was a 2005 graduate of Miller High School and attended Del Mar College. He was an active member of the Encounter Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was formerly employed as a pastry chef for various deli’s. He had the most gently spirit and the most giving heart with a twist of spunky sense of humor. A true gentleman that will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Victor Cano; paternal Grandfather, Lucio Liguez; and a cousin, Sara Emily Salinas.

Londy is survived by his mother, Estela (Andy) Rodela of Corpus Christi, Texas; his Father, Orlando R. Salinas Sr. of Freer, Texas; one sister, Jennifer Amanda (Armando) Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Paternal Grandmother, Margarita Liguez of Freer, Texas; Maternal Grandmother, Consuelo Cano of Corpus Christi, Texas; Nieces and nephews, Jacob, Julian “JuJu”, Aubrie, and Aleigha; Step brother, Andy (Vicky) Rodela; Step sister, Melinda (Randy) Curiel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Garza Funeral Home Chapel in Freer, Texas with Pastor Juan O. Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Las Piedrietas Cemetery in Las Piedrietas, Texas.
