A Corpus Christi Police Officer on patrol in the Woodriver subdivision area saw a truck towing a utility trailer that didnít have any license plates attached to it. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it continued even after he had activated his emergency lights for another block.

When the truck did stop the driver, Diamond Jackson 26, jumped out and attempted to flee on foot. The officer was able to take the suspect into custody as he attempted to jump over a fence.

An investigation revealed that the 2015 Chevrolet truck the suspect was driving was stolen on Monday from a customer at the Keg Room located at 4700 S. Alameda Street. The license plate being displayed on the stolen truck the suspect had been driving was stolen from another truck while it was parked at an apartment complex on Weber Road.

The trailer attached to the stolen truck was also determined to be stolen. It had been taken from a tire shop located in the 4300 block of Violet Road earlier in the evening.

The suspect was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading police both felony offenses. He was additionally charged with four other misdemeanor offenses.
