Carlisle Insurance will host a Disaster Recovery Workshop for some 60 school districts spanning the South Texas Region on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. at the Region 2 Education Service Center, located at 209 N. Water Street in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Industry experts, such as Coastal Property Alliance of Texas, North American Solutions, Property Casualty Alliance of Texas and Agility Recovery have partnered with Carlisle Insurance to offer administrators a variety of information that will prepare them to be ready to regain operational status as quickly as possible, if a catastrophic event such as a hurricane, flood or fire should strike.

Jerry Bravenec, Vice President for Carlisle Insurance and Public Entity Broker commented, “The workshop we are offering is part of our commitment to go above and beyond to make sure that our clients have the necessary resources to prepare for the worst and regain operations as quickly as possible during an emergency situation.”

Throughout the day participants will learn how to develop a disaster recovery plan, participate in a Q&A session with industry experts and gain knowledge on how to prevent school closings, equipment failures and fires.

The event will feature presentations from Hartford Steam Boiler, local first responders from the City of Corpus Christi and the Nueces County Emergency Management Office. School administrators will explore the four key elements of recovery: classroom and office space, power, communications and computers.

Carlisle Insurance agents and the claim client relations team will be on-site to educate school administrators about the claim process and what to expect if a catastrophe should strike.

The Disaster Recovery Workshop will also provide the opportunity for administrators to earn up to three hours of TASBO continued education credits.
