The Chemo Kids Fish-Off has become a tradition that patients look forward to every summer. This edition of the Chemo Kids Fish-Off was Tuesday, June 9 at Hampton’s Landing in Aransas Pass. The annual fishing excursion allows children with cancer to take their minds off chemotherapy for a day and concentrate on catching fish with their favorite Driscoll staff members.

About 50 children, ages 5 – 18, ventured out into the water in boats driven by local fishing guides in hopes of catching the most fish. When the junior anglers returned to dry land, volunteers were be on hand to weigh the fish and helped patients make a print of the catch of the day. Patients were also treated to lunch and each was recognized at an awards ceremony.
