The Calallen Education Foundation was presented with a check from Mr. Mitchell Hippensteal in the amount of $2,782 the “Critical Care Jerry.”

“Critical Care Jerry” is an engineered emergency room veterinary training mannikin that has the ability to simulate trauma and features jugular and vascular access. “Critical Care Jerry” also has realistic representations of the trachea, esophagus, and epiglottis are built into the airway.

These better provide for the training of:

Airway management

Ventilation

Endotracheal intubation

Mouth-to-snout resuscitation

Circulation with external chest compressions

The money was raised by board members and at our Annual Casino Night. In addition to the acquisition of these new training materials the Calallen FFA Shooting Team also brought their own accomplishments to the table making it a great month for the school district.

Baidley McLendon, Bailee Saenz, and Peyton Skoruppa took 3rd place for Ladies Trap shooting. Bailey McLendon, Logan McLendon, Peyton Skoruppa and Weston Skoruppa too 1st place in Mixed Trap Shooting.
