Lazara “Sara” Ybarra Galvan, 84, went to be with our Lord on July 8, 2015. She was born on April 14, 1931 in Banquete, Texas to Donaciano and Delmira Roland Ybarra, Sr. She was a Catholic, a homemaker and a longtime resident of Robstown, Texas. Lazara was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Felix Galvan, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Paula Saenz Rodriguez (Luis) of Robstown, Texas, Anita Hernandez (Jimmy) of Commerce, Texas, Alicia G. Buenrostro, Edward Galvan (Hilda) both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Janie Candela (Raymundo) of Banquete, Texas, Carmen Caro (Fidencio) of La Joya, Texas, Gloria Pena (Joe) of Orange Grove, Texas, Felix Galvan, Jr. (Drianna) of Kileen, Texas, and Ernest Roel Galvan of Falfurrias, Texas; four brothers, Roberto Ybarra, Regula Ybarra both of Uvalde, Texas, Roel Ybarra of Austin, Texas and Rodolfo Ybarra of Bonhan, Texas; four sisters, Delia Sandoval of Pheonix, Arizona, Mary Luna of Realto, California, Olga Fieros of Illinois, Edelmira Garcia of Johnson City, Texas. She was also blessed with twenty-four grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow to Robstown Cemetery.
