The Tuloso-Midway Warrior Band and Color Guard and Robstown High School Band competed in the Gregory-Portland Tournament of Bands this Saturday where they were awarded honors.

For Tuloso-Midway, the Drum Line received third overall, second overall for Color Guard, second overall for Drum Majors, second place for Band Overall and first place band in Class 5A.

According to a press release, the Tuloso-Midway directors said they are "very proud of this accomplishment and all the hard work the kids have put in."

Directors at TM include Ray Chapa, Sabrina Pendergraph, Josue Martinez, Amanda Boone and Ernest Constante.

The Robstown High School Band also competed and received first in class for percussion and first in class for the drum majors.

Many surrounding bands in the area will compete next weekend in Robstown, and in UIL competition the following weekend in Calallen.
