Lauro Salas Hernandez, 58, entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family at his side. Lauro was born in Robstown, Texas to Carlos Hernandez, Sr., and the late Micaela Salas Hernandez on April 5, 1957. Lauro was a Master Plumber with C & L Plumbing and was a lifetime resident of Robstown, Texas. He was a devout catholic and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Lauro goes home to reunite with his mother, Micaela Hernandez, two nieces, Rosa Maria Yzaguirre and Sonia Marie Hernandez whom preceded him in death.
The family he leaves behind to cherish his memory and continue his legacy is his wife of 42 years, Ester Guerrero Hernandez, his son, Lauro Hernandez, Jr., (Michelle Ruiz) his daughter, Amanda-Jayne Hernandez, his father, Carlos (The late Micaela) Hernandez, Sr., one brother, Carlos Hernandez, Jr., (Lilia) three sisters, San Juana (The Late Isaias) Velasco, Maria (Israel) Velasco, Oralia (Rudy) Reyes. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Lauro Hernandez, III., Aaron Hernandez, Christopher Ruiz, Sonia Jayne Hernandez and his buddy, his Labrador, "Spike." He was also blessed with loving in laws whom he loved as family, Janie Swaab, Fermin Guerrero, Jr., Juan Manuel Guerrero, Sarah Marie Guerrero- Saenz, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Ramon Funeral Home in Robstown, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
