On Sunday Dec. 6, 22 sophomore students visited the Harbor Play House in Corpus Christi, where they had the opportunity to observe and critique the play, “A Christmas Carol.” From the live music, acting, and costumes, the students were exposed to what exactly a play has to offer. The Sophomore English teacher, Rox-Anne Guajardo, encouraged each student to attend.

“My inspiration is my students" Guajardo said. "I want my students to be inspired and be able to understand and appreciate all that English has to offer the world…not just a test.”

The students had a blast and enjoyed spending time with their classmates.

“The moral of the story touched me most,” Kierstyn Carpenter said. “It was good for our class to attend this play, it was something different and exposed us to new things.”

The students who attended the play include: Jackie Mondragon, Luisa Carballeira, Madelyn Tarango, Monique Jordan, Domonic Tumblinson, Allyson Rangel, Ofelia Chaves, Jalynn Utley, Renee Rodriguez, Meghan Sharber, Kierstyn Carpenter, Clariza Moreno, Cheyenne Clarke, Tynisha Garza, Kayla Mirelez, Videlia Campos, Maria Aguillon, Brianna Mata, Aaron Trevino, David DeLeon, Jose Narvais, and Minnie Garza.
