Five angel investment networks have banded together to back Your Fare, an Austin startup that provides an online ordering management platform for restaurants.
Your Fare received $2.4 million from Menlo Park, Calif.-based Band of Angels, Nevada-based Sierra Angels, Austin-based Capital Factory, Houston-based Texas HALO Fund and Houston Angel Network.
Your Fare, founded in 2015, sells an ordering management platform for online orders. It allows restaurants to replace their online ordering tablets and track their daily sales on one dashboard.
Your Fare also manages third-party delivery services, streamlining them to a single platform.
The company said its customers include Freebirds World Burrito, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria and Texadelphia.
Your Fare said it will use the funding to ramp up marketing and product development efforts.
The arrival of dozens of third-party delivery services such as Grubhub and DoorDash is reshaping the restaurant delivery business. Your Fare co-founder and CEO Chris Monk said the changing landscape provides an opportunity for his company.
"While third-party delivery services have become a necessity for restaurants and consumers, their current processes are creating operational headaches for operators," he said.
"With hundreds of online ordering solutions available to restaurants, it only makes sense to combine these solutions into one comprehensive platform," Monk said.
