Have you been driving by the Corpus Christi Northwest Library during the construction? Are you dying of curiosity, wanting to see the inside? Can't wait for the library to open? Well, your questions are about to be answered.

Come join us for our grand reopening, Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at our 3202 McKinzie Road location for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. We will be having activities for you and your family from 11 a.m. to 4:00 pm.

Every child attending will receive a free paperback book. We will be having programs during the day for kids. Larry Running Turtle Salazar will be drumming and storytelling, starting at 11:45 am. We will have local famous storyteller Georgia Cox at 1:30. At 2:30, we will be having a Tae Kwon Do demonstration. We will have Clifford the Big Red Dog attend as well as Ace the Aviator, HEBuddy and the Stripes Cup handing out the free books.

There will also be refreshments for all ages.

I can't wait for you to see our beautiful new library. I hope you are as impressed as the volunteers have been. For those of you who are regular users of Northwest, you will not recognize the library. It has changed 99 percent. I think you are going to be very pleased with the library.
