Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Robin Drive in reference to an unconscious child with CPR in progress.
The Officers arrived and were informed by CCFD Medics that the 4-year-old boy was deceased. Officers observed the child inside the house and saw bruising on his body. Officers immediately secured the scene and detained a 26-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man. Detectives were called to the scene and transported the two suspects to the main station to be interviewed.
Detectives developed enough probable cause to arrest Amanda Rose Pinon and Michael Duty for capital murder. Duty was also found to have 2 warrants for his arrest. Both suspects were transported to the City Detention Center and booked on the charges. Two other children inside the residence at the time were placed in temporary custody of Child Protective Services.
